"Ties That Bind"

The beauty of a white, ceramic pitcher is discovering all the colors that are there - other than white. Given the right lighting, it will pick up all the colors surrounding it, as well as the ambient color of the light. This painting features an old pitcher plus three juicy plums. The shadows play a big part in this work, with the handle of the pitcher forming an egg-shaped shadow.
